™ Organic
Landscaping Rolled Reinforced Mulch Mats
EcoCoverRF is EcoCover organic
biodegradable mulch mat made predominately from waste
paper laminated to natural jute fiber Hessian woven
cloth for reinforcement. EcoCoverRF has been
developed for mulching and landscaping slopes, banks and
high wind areas where additional strength is needed
compared to our standard
Landscape Mulch.
Erosion control and slope
stabilization projects often do not recognize the value
of or incorporate vegetation as a very useful addition
to address slope stability. Vegetation alone or together
with other biotechnical engineering methods for slope
protection is often not well understood. The value of
vegetation planted on a slope is often underestimated.
Soil stabilization and erosion
control blankets, poly woven landscape fabric or plastic
sheeting may do a good job of preventing erosion and
weed control, but none of these products have the proven
advantages of EcoCoverRF for vegetation.
Independently conducted
research has shown repeatedly and
conclusively that EcoCover does a better job than
plastic mulches to:

reduces or eliminates the need for chemical
herbicides, reduces the need for chemical
fertilizers.

When properly
installed and maintained, vegetation mulched with
EcoCoverRF can protect slopes by reducing erosion,
strengthening soil, and helping to minimize landslides
which increases general slope stability. The use of
vegetation to manage erosion and protect slopes is
relatively inexpensive, does not require heavy machinery
on the slope, establishes wildlife habitat, and can
improve the aesthetic quality of your property.
