Google Aging Delay aka
The SandBox or Sand Box
Those of us who have new webs sites,
like my
www.seo-optimization.com , are suffering from a
change in Google's algorithm. Webs that are
less than a year old are being effectively penalized
by delays in showing up on Google. An example
from my SEO web: went online April 16; web
stats showed Google indexed the web April 24; page
cache first showed up on Google June 3; the search
results for my targeted search phrases do not show
up based on the merits of my optimization.
Meanwhile, I have been #1 on MSN Search for 'seo
optimization' since April 20 out of 4,780,772
competing iterations. What to do? At
this point on Google, all we can do is wait and
concentrate on rankings from Yahoo, MSN and others.
You can also go to
http://www.google.com/support/bin/request.py?contact_type=user&hl=en and
send Google an email advising how unfair you think
this practice is. Google's company motto is
"do no evil", they are not walking the talk.
Updated USA market
share information for search engines
March 2005
Google is first in the market with 36.4%
(+0.5%), Yahoo has 30.6%
(+0.6%), MSN Search has 16.5%
(+0.8%) and AOL Search which is powered by
Google has 8.9%(-4.5%).
Ask Jeeves has
5.5% (+3.7%). Total = 97.9%.
Total market share numbers actually exceed 100%
because searchers often use more than one engine.
Maybe It's Time You Tried A Webinar?
If you search on Google for 'webinar provider' you
will find
www.roncastle.com to be #1 on page 1. With
the price of gas going up and with summertime
traffic on the highways, online presenting and
conferencing makes more sense than ever. Make
your sales calls from your office rather than the
road. We represent Global Link Communications.
Paul Keating and Bill McNine will be glad to get you
set up and running. If you use Global Link's
audio conferencing services they will give you a
free website for hosting your webinars. Call
me if you need assistance and we will get you
connected.
Email List Management
If you are doing email communications with large or
multiple mailing lists and find you are spending too
much time in the process, check out this page in my
web:
http://www.roncastle.com/email-software-solutions/email-software-solutions.htm.
I am using MailList King to send
this message. It is a great program. We
used the program this past week to send an email
newsletter to over 1,300 subscribers for our
Nashville client
www.bourbonstreetblues.com. Time to
complete the task? Less than 20 minutes.
You can download a free demo.

Web Marketing Ideas
In the past 5-6 weeks I have more than
doubled the size of my web by adding new content
related to all aspects of marketing on the web.
If you are looking for some great ideas and
educational resources for improving your web
marketing, visit this page in my web:

Search Engines Are Looking for Changes
When was the last time you added content to
your web? It is very difficult to maintain top
search engine rankings without updating and new
content additions. If you want more web
action, get more active with your web!
I expect
success.
Cheers,
